We did not do the buffet this time as Winstar has quit sending me buffet coupons. I'd still give the place a second chance. And she was into her ninth hour of her eight hour shift. The food was good, the service, not so much.
We took advantage of their midnight specials-pancakes and eggs for $2, and (The All American) sausage, eggs, toast and hash browns for $3. We ate at the Terrace View Cafe at the hotel for breakfast the next morning. I think most of the basic rooms are exclusively showers which was fine for our needs. Rooms were extremely clean and amenities were adequate. My friend and I were offered a ground floor at the Southside Pool Tower and it was great not having to deal with elevators. I live in Fort Worth and it's nice to take a break away from the daily grind and have a moment of relaxation at Winstar. I usually spend a couple of nights a year at Winstar.
